Wild Nacatl is banned in Modern… but Champion of the Parish is legal in standard…
Granted Nacatl is better than CotP, but really… think about it.
Turn one they are both 1/1s.
Turn two Wild Nacatl is probably a 2/2, but maybe a 3/3 if you rip a shockland. CotP is the same. Probably a 2/2, but…
I think people were overusing Wild Nacatl as much as they were overusing JtMS and SfM… Everyone was playing the same damn deck, and that’s what I don’t like about competitive. Decklists should be intellectual property or something, I don’t know…
Champion of the Parish, on the other hand, is very good and he can get very scary, but there are other options for a 1 drop in Standard right now, and he’s far from dominating the format as Wild Nacatl did. You can drop a Champion, or a Reckless Waif (one of my personal favorites) or a Stromkirk Noble, who just kicks major ass. Delver of Secrets is also awesome, just look at the foil price to get an idea. I think the Banning came in the spirit of maintaining the variety of the format, and I definitely welcome it if it indeed has that effect (that is, until another dominating deck takes over, everyone puts it together and Wizards has to ban again).

Just wanted to get some tips to see if there is anything i missed. Any input is much appreciated.
It’s a pretty cool list. I’d find a spot for Triskelion just for the mere chance of comboing out with Mephidross Vampire every once in a while. Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief was my Vampire EDH commander and she’s pretty wicked, maybe you could find her a spot in there, too. Sanguine Bond makes a pretty awesome combo with Blood Tribute (one shot kill).

So, this is something I’d seen done before by Jesse Callaghan (machineorthodoxy.tumblr.com), but I was on MTGO and looking to make a deck that I could play in Standard without losing every match, but I only had two tickets to buy every card with. Here’s the decklist:
Artifacts:
4 x Liquimetal…An interesting deck idea!
It is very interesting indeed… very outside-the-box kind of deck, I like it! The only problem that I’ve seen with it is that it relies far too much on the coating to actually do anything. I’ve played against it and if it doesn’t get the artifact, the deck just rolls over and dies, literally. It’s kind of the same thing that is happening to me with my Heartless Summoning deck. If I drop the Summoning on t2, the deck does very sick things very early in the game, but if I don’t, it’s just a slow control deck. Good luck with your brewing!

Same old story… the REAL problem is players just not being creative and copying lists off the Internet…

So, my first real road trip turned out to be awesome. I first thought I would like the highway a bit more than taking back roads full of hills and twists… first lesson: the highways in Guatemala are boring as hell. I also thought my bike was going to crap out on me. I’ve been riding this trés petit Suzuki AX 100. That’s 100 cc of two stroke engine for a 300 kms of hills, twists, turns and potholes. She behaved like a champ. Going uphill was a bit of a problem, since I could only go on second or third gear (she only has four gears, by the way). But going downhill on the twisty roads was a bliss. The scenery was just beautiful. We only took a few snapshots because if we had stopped every time there was an amazing landscape, we just wouldn’t have made it back! Despite a few, um, inconveniences (a staple pierced my tire’s tube, and finding someone to fix it was a little difficult on a Sunday afternoon and my auto lube tank was almost depleted) the trip was amazing. Now, I can’t wait to get back on the road!
